Pole Expo 2016: Lindsay Lithe
Lindsay Lithe is a pole dance instructor and competitor originally from Colorado, USA and we also had the chance to meet her at the Pole Expo in LA last year.
Lindsay has been only doing pole dance for just over three years and she already belongs to the best ones not only in the US but in the world! However, that’s not that surprising when you see the determination and love she has for pole dance – when asked about her average training week, she says “I’d say I fit in at least two to three hours every single day of training if I’m really busy. If I have more time, I try to do seven hours a day but that includes breaks, eating, stretching, this and that. But I definitely try to do at least two to three hours of a nice warm-up, stretching and exercise.”
You can’t do anything but admire her because on top of pole dance she’s getting her master’s degree at the University of Southern California right now and doing an internship. She is a very genuine person full of positive energy and she’s definitely a living proof of the fact that hard work, passion and determination pays off.
But even the most talented dancers have a pole trick they find hard to do. So what’s the challenging move for Lidsay? PoleFreaks asked her in their video and this is her answer: “Well, I’d say fonji to cup grip iron X with perfect technique. I’m still working on that one, it’s really challenging to do without help.” And what does she do when she’s not teaching, training or creating a choreography for a competition? “I don’t know. Pole is my life, I don’t do anything but pole, hahaha. But when I have time to relax, I usually watch one of my favourite TV shows which is either Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel or Dexter.”
Lindsay is for sure an inspiration to us but who inspires her? In an interview with Mica Saunters from
PoleCon she mentions Julien Miguel, Phoenix Kazree, Dimitry Politov, Rafaela Montanaro, Anna Maija, Amy Hazel, Olga Trifonova or Hanka Venselaar and many more. Who is your biggest inspiration when it comes to pole dance? We want to know! Let us know in the comments.
If you’re not following Lindsay, you’re definitely missing out. She was even mentioned as one of the best pole fitness Instagram accounts to follow by The Telegraph so go to @LindsayLithe for ultimate pole inspo. And if you’re not really into Instagram, you can find her on Facebook as well, as Lindsay “Agent” Lithe.
